I think they should because they would look cute together. There's only one reason I think it would be a bad idea. I've noticed that on shows, you want a couple to get together and when they do, all the fun is taken out of watching the show.
But I think it would be interesting to see it happen.

yah, you're totally right. that's why they should do it in the series finale. they should lead up to it in the final season, how they feel, and most likely their denial in their feelings. so, yah, it would be totally awesome if they got together!

RIGHT ON! lol. did you notice that like, no one has objected? of course, it could be because they dont' want to get shunned by the rest of us for not liking dasey. But i'd rather just keep telling myself that it's because every LWD fan likes dasey! (yes, i know that is totally not true, don't ruin my happiness! : )

Um Yes they definatly should get together im a huge huge huge huge Dasey fan and i want it to happen so badly..hopefully the season finale they will have something for us crazed fans =)

im a huge fan of dasey and would be all for them getting together, but the only way that is happening is if this was a soap opera. I know they are not blood related and even if this is a canadian show, it still is a kid's show ( i think) and the chances of derek and casey hooking up are slim to none, but thats okay we can all hope. For now im sticking to my fanfiction.

yah. but if they kissed just because it was an accident, and then they never get together, that would totally not be fair. why would they get our hopes up like that? I think i would write an angry letter, which would most likely end in them sending me coupons and thanking me of being a fan...you know how it is.

okay, I was reading Redbook magazine, (don't ask...although it was quite entertaining...) and there was this article about relationships called, "How lying, flirting (with someone else!) & fighting can make you closer. and they made all these points, and they all connect with the whole Dasey relationship. (well, except for the flirting, cuz derek and casey aren't in an actual relationship, but it kind of still counts) I'm gonna quote some of the fine points that they made.
Flirting:
If your guy bears witness to another man showing some flirtatious interest in you now and then, that's not a always a bad thing. A little jealousy is likea wake-up call. It reminds you of how lucky you are to have what you have.
Being Selfish:
If there's one piece of relationship wisdom we hear over and over, it's "compromise, compromise, compromise" So ghow can being selfish possibly be good? here's the key: compromise doesn't mean finding the exact middle ground in every situation. Compromise can also mean that this time, you do it 100 percent your way, and the next time, you do it 100 percent his way.
Couples think that both partners should give the same amount. The problem is, you have no control over what your partner gives. Yes, in an ideal world, you're each giving the other just what's needed: You cede the remote on Monday nights; he hands over the arts pages on Sunday mornings. But many of the big and small needs we have arne't always obvious. That's why pinning your happiness on whether or not he gives you what you need when you need it, well, that's a recipe for frustration and resnetment, no matter how much love and how many good intention s you both have.
So instead of waiting for him to give you what you need every time, get a little grabby now and then. (oh, and just for the record, i'm just putting on the parts that matter, and have to do with Dasey. not the whole article.)
Arguing:
It's true that nonstop battling isn't great for your love. (See the movie The War of the Roses) Never fighting can just be just as bad as constant conflict. In fact, arguing is one of the healthiest things you and your guy can do. (( YES! Dasey is wide open!!!))
Executed correctly, a fight can evn be a tool to advance your cause as a couple. Arguing doesn't always lead to a consensus, but it's useful to your relationship because it can lead to a clarification of your differences and a solution on how to move past them together.
((end article)) And there was a couple other stuff, but it wasn't really relevent to Dasey. So, that was pretty cool, right? I'm telling ya, i'm gonna read Redbook more often. Yall would do good to follow my example.

Just thinking about this, they technically can't get together unless Nora and George break up. And they seem to be one of those couples that go the distance. Nora and George are definatly not going to break, THEY'RE too cute. So maybe the writers so should shove in some Dasey romance just because we love Dasey! lol, wow I'm over thinking this too much...

They would be cute together but for some reason I dont think it will happen. Not only because of Nora and George but also because of their personalities. They dont really seem like they like each other to me, maybe as step sister/brother but not in a love way. This might just be me though, who knows.

Well, if you really and truly think about it (which i have done many times, trying to convince some people that DASEY WILL HAPPEN!!!), it's not that they necessarily can't get together if Nora and George are still married. I mean, i don't think it's illegal...i don't know. I'll check up on it later, i'm too lazy to do it right now. I'll respond later! |

I for one would love for them to be together. They have great chemistry that just can't be faked.
Now can I rant just for a bit. I need someplace to rant about all the Dasey dissers.
1. The argument it's on Disney (in the states) or it's a "family" show they won't go there. These people obviously don't give Disney channel or Canadian tv that much credit. If the think Disney is just for little kids, then perhaps they're only watching playhouse Disney. I for one believe if done right, and the show was aired at a time when young children are in bed...then it would work. For those who think that there would be an ick factor, the remote control isn't just for show. Hit that Mute button, the channel button, or better yet the power button.
2. The argument that it's incest. I really dislike how some just use this very powerful word so lightly. Incest by definition is An act of sexual intercourse by two people who are too closely genetically related.
Key word being genetically
1. They don't share genetics.
2. I highly doubt there'd be any form of sexual activity shown, since it is a family show.
tptb would be fools to let a goldmine like Dasey slip by them.
